Bought a "NEW" Moto E5 from Tech Korner through Best Buy market place. The phone had issues from day 1, and died within 6 months. For some reason, the phone originated from the U.S., and therefore had only 3 months warranty. In addition, i cant fix the phone in Canada because it was meant for the U.S. market . Its now basically trash.
Here's what Motorola Canada told me:
"This is Karen from the Motorola Canada Technical support.
Let me explain to you that according to the warranty policies, claims under warranty should be made in the country where the phone was intended for sale, in this case, the United States.
In addition, the Moto E5 Plus model was never sold in Canada, for instance, the repair center will not have the proper tools to process the repair on that device."
Here is what Tech Korner told me:
"We would like to inform you that the phone is out of 90 days warranty and unfortunately, we can't provide you any support on this.
You can probably take it to the nearest cellphone store to get it fixed."
My question is, if Tech Korner repairs cell phones, why cant they repair the cell phone they sold as "NEW" to me? Also curious as to why a Canadian retailer would sell cell phones meant solely for the U.S. market.
Going to the media with this.
Thanks to Tech Korner my iPhone is like brand new! He is quick and very reasonably priced. I only trust them with my phone. We drive all the way from Hamilton to downtown Toronto to see them. Keep up the good work guys!
I recently purchased a Humidifier from Tech Korner. The experience was seamless and painless, but, for my troubles (without me even asking), the guy provided me with a new product. His customer service is par excellence. Would definitely recommend this place to buy gadgets.
Great service and fast reponse to a technical concern. Ali replaced an iPhone I had bought that kept crashing with no hassles. The service is genuine, honest and caring. Thanks for the cup of tea on a rainy day!
